Start date confirmed

The start date for our project has finally been decided. We are planning to get underway right after the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. This is a tentative date as weather can be a deciding factor as to the actual start date. Here is a list of what will be unfolding in the near future:

• signs will be posted indicating a construction site including the  appropriate safety signs
• the building permit will be displayed in a visible location
• about 30 small evergreen trees that are on the building site will be moved and transplanted 
• a local company will be installing the road approach
• a survey will be completed to mark the precise location of the building
• the foundation contractor will be excavating for the basement
• the geothermal contractor will be drilling holes and installing his piping before freeze up
• the developer will be installing a well, a 2000 gallon holding tank and a grey water disposal system
• the building material will be ordered so it is available when needed, at this time the specific requirements are

1.                                                            the steel beams
2.                                                            floor truss system
3.                                                            roof truss system
4.                                                            exterior windows and doors

• the local power company (Manitoba Hydro) will be preparing for the electrical service to be installed
• contacting the various trades about the time frame  and gauging a tentative date so they may plan accordingly so they will be prepared when they are required
